Le Pouce is the third highest mountain in Mauritius which form part of the Moka Ranges. Charles Darwin ascended the mountain during his voyage around the world. The mountain received its name because it takes the form of the thumb peak shaped. Le Pouce is very popular for hiking and is considered to be an easy hike. From the summit you will be able to catch view of the Pieter Both mountain and all-round the village of Moka. You will need to bring your Sun creme protection and Water.

MEETING POINT
Meeting point – Petit Verger Moka
VIEW POINTS
The hike starts in the bushes and moves uphill for about 45 mins until you reach the 1st view point. From there you can see part of the village of St Pierre. As you move on you will get different viewpoints where you can stop for wow pictures for the best memories. If you are not able to complete the hike you can stop about 20 min to the top on the plains to rest and enjoy the cool breeze.
THE SUMMIT
The summit you will give you an amazing view of the Pieter Both mountain and all-round the village of Moka and Port Louis. Sometimes you can get to see monkeys on top of the mountain.
